We soaked up every bit of sun we could today!
We spent the morning playing and picnicking at Sherman Park with our playgroup friends. As soon as we got home the girls crashed and slept until dinner. Then we went outside for some much anticipated water play!
Don't worry, we went and bought a bigger pool tonight. Although, they were happy as two little piglets in slop with that glorified puddle!

The sprinkler was pretty much a bust; not quite warm enough for that yet. It did make them huddle together and hug a lot though - that made it totally worth it... for me anyways :)
Lastly....the inchworm.
Oh. my. word. You would have though I asked Bryn to stand in the middle of a swarm of bees covered in pollen when I tried to get her to let it onto her hand. Panic, sobbing, and going into the house ensued when I threw it into the yard. Damned if ya do, damned if ya don't with that girl. She didn't want to touch it and was freaked that I was, but didn't want it in the grass because then she might step on it. She's something else...but she's mine!

Summer Sillies
Squirt guns and bubbles provided about three hours of entertainment this morning - thank you Dollar Tree!
Erin was trying to drink from hers and shot herself in the face
Bryn got a good laugh out of it and had to give it a go herself
Erin squirted the yard until there was a muddy mess...why oh why do messy hands always go straight to her face
Then it was on to bubbles!
Bryn has finally gotten good at blowing bubbles without getting her mouth on the wand
Erin...not so much
Bryn was totally floored that Erin kept sticking her mouth on the wand. Of course, since it brought laughter, Erin kept doing it.
Ahhhh, I love summer!

Smiles sent from Heaven
We spent some of this blustery day playing in the backyard. Miss B has fallen in love with her glider this spring. My mom and grandparents bought it for her on the last birthday Grandpa Pat got to celebrate with her. I smile and think of him as I listen to her contagious giggle as she soars as high as she can and her hair flies all around her. Lil E has figured out that there is much fun to be had on that glider. She grunts and strains to hoist herself up and then holds on with all her might as B sends them closer to the sky with each push. E shrieks and says "I fying!!" They play for what seems like hours on that little red glider and I rarely pull them off - I can't quit smiling the entire time they're on it.

Butterfly House
Would you believe I took ONE picture of my kid at the butterfly house?? The rest of the time I was consumed with chasing butterflies :)
Poor girl, her eye still turns in sometimes...
I got tons of pretty butterfly pictures though!
